ISA 2004 running on a member server.
Event Viwer on the Member Server has this error in the System Log:
Event ID 20014 User <name> has connected and failed to authenticate on VPN5-127. Line has been disconnected.
Cannot find anything helping.
Please advise. [ June 17, 2005, 11:08 AM: Message edited by: WildPacket ]

Hi Wild,
What's the DNS addressing on the ISA firewall's interfaces?
Thanks! Tom

It was not right Thanks for pointing out.
Now when I try to make a connection to the VPN server using XPP client it pops up a User Name, Password and Domain Name Window and fails to logon.
I can VPN using the Admin account but cannot vpn in with my user name?
Please advise. [ June 17, 2005, 05:46 PM: Message edited by: WildPacket ]

Make sure your AD account has dial-in permission set to "allow". Also, check if you have any RRAS remote access policies that prevents your login. [ June 19, 2005, 10:04 PM: Message edited by: isawader ]

isawader,
I have all the options selected but still cannot conenct using my user name.
I have no issues connecting with Administrator account.
How do I verify that my member server is flawlessly talking to the Domain Controller because my user is created on the Domain Controller only. And this Admin account is on both servers.
Please advise. [ June 19, 2005, 10:49 PM: Message edited by: WildPacket ]

Test servers in my scenario. One DC running AD and other is member server running/testing ISA 2004.
When I create a rule in ISA and want to add a group sitting on the DC, I get this error message ... RPC Server not available. I have fixed this error before in a different scenario but cannot seem to find anything here.
I guess because of this issue I cannot VPN intt the ISA server using a user.
I have no issues logging in via VPN with Admin Account.
Please advise.
