Hi,

Working on a case where the customer is evaluating changing to ISA server 2006 against their existing Checkpoint FW R55. One selection criteria is if video conference works seemless through the firewall. In the POC we are testing Tandberg video conf  and having issues in point-to-point call set up and reception of incomming calls. The outgoing calls are being established without any video stream while incomming calls are not established at all. If we use Tandberg's Border Controller things  work; though with lots of missing video frames. When the video system is placed outside the firewall with an internet address to establish some baselining; it exibits  quite better quality of service!!
One question if to use the ISA's in-built H.323 filter or not and if so what configuration steps are needed?
Any one experience with encryption on realtime traffic; may be it shall add latency and more frame losses; I can just guess.

The video conference system is of Tandberg 6000 & 3000 MXP type and I must admit that Tanberg have many good technical docs at their site, but none is speciafically addressing Application Proxy type of firewalls which ISA is:  http://www.tandberg.net/support/documentation.php?p=White_Papers

In couple of days we are to give it another try to see if things work better; otherwise we have to evaluate upgrading Checkpoint FW to newer versions or placing the video equipment ouside with some kind of "just enough" security".
Any comments, recommendation are very wellcome, thanks

Kamran

Hi Arka,

got this working?
I got a similar case and I'm interested in how you solved this.

Thanks,
Wim
