Right guys/gals
Publishing my web sites through ISA (WLBS'd on the internet facing side), that then publishes WLBS enabled web servers, however I only seem to be getting one web server hit, seems the WLBS has become 'sticky' on the IIS server's
i.e internet -> wlbs ISA -> 1 machine
instead of internet -> wlbs ISA -> all machines
Any ideas please? [ July 16, 2002, 04:06 PM: Message edited by: Ashleigh ]

It seems now that the ISA servers are not getting load balanced properly, all traffic seems to be hitting the second ISA box.
Any ideas?
EDIT - After some playing it seems the traffic will hit the first box to come up, also if you reboot the box all traffic seems to hit then after the wlbs goes down, all traffic moves over to the other machine. i.e. only one ISA server can be up at one point in time. Anyone got any ideas on how to get this working? [ July 17, 2002, 12:14 PM: Message edited by: Ashleigh ]

Hi Ashleigh,
Just curious, but have you read our NLB article over at www.isaserver.org/shinder?
Thanks!

OK, seems that is all working nicely now, ISA is nicly load balancing. However using Web Publishing the WLBS IIS server's via ISA seems the balancing on IIS is not particularly 50/50
Any ideas? or do I need to do the UseISAAddressInPublishing = dword/1 trick and server publish them?

Hi Ashleigh,
The source ISA server address trick would have the same effect as the Web Publish Rule. That is to say, it would enclude the internal IP address of the ISA Server that's forwarding the request.
Are you finding that both ISA Servers are forwarding to the same server in the IIS array?
Thanks!
Tom

I had this same issue last week for a project I was working on where the majority of requests were going to one balanced webserver. Changing the reg setting helped the problem tremendously. The balance is not quite at 50/50 but it close enough to be called succesful
Just thought I would add my two cents regarding this problem.
