Hii everyone! "[Smile]"

I hope somebody can help me whit this "[Confused]"

and i hope that bee easy.

I have installed the WSUS server "[Cool]"

, and all computer clients have been updated successfully.

The only computer that dont update is the ISA server "[Frown]"

, because ISA dont appear on the Equipment Section on the WSUS server "[Confused]"

.

I must create an access rule to permit that WSUS update the ISA server?? "[Confused]"

I hope somebody have a solution for this "[Big

.

Hi Geo,

Are you allowing HTTP connections from the ISA firewall to the WSUS server?

Hii Tom!

Yes, im allowing HTTP connections from the ISA to WSUS.

But cannot make that WSUS update ISA Server .

Exist the posibility that i must forget something??

Do you have something like this in the registry?

If not, put it in with the correct name of your wsus-server.

Are these services running on the isa server:
- automatic updates
- intelligent background transfer?

How do you have deployed the wsus settings to your clients, via grouppolicy or manual? Is the isa server member of your Active Directory domain?

which port you are using is it 8530 or 80

I rewiew your post Tom.

My clients are updated via Group Policy, my ISA is member of the domain, and are member too of the machine clients that WSUS must update.

When i check the registry values, i notice that the problem is there because dont apear the correct name of my WSUS server.

Only put the correct name of my WSUS server and then wait a few minuts, and in my WSUS console then appear the ISA Computer. [Big Grin]

One last Question, what is more recommended, that i use the default port 8530 or maby most use another port for security reasons.

Hi Georsad,

port 80 is the default value if you install WSUS on a server with IIS and "http://wsus-server/wsusadmin" is the standard website.

If you are running another webpage on this IIS, then you can adress another port for the WSUS like 8530.
