Greetings all,

I've scoured the interwebs for a solution here and I just can't come up with something. I've got about 5-8 people granted VPN access and I'm just not confident in my security, and also not confident that all those people actually need access or are using it.

What I'd like to do is somehow generate an email any time someone establishes a VPN connection. I was hoping there'd be a way to generate an alert, but I can't seem to find anything to create a new alert based on a successful connection. *shrug*

Any ideas on this one? Thanks in advance for any ideas you may be able to throw my direction.

Not possible with email.

You might be able to track them in the OS's Event Log (probably under RRAS).

Security - Follow the priciple of "least privledge" and you don't have to worry about it. "Least Privledge" means they only have access to what they need and nothing more. This is the opposite of giving them everything then trying to figure out what you should "take away" them.
