G'day, i have a problem i'm hoping someone can provide an answer for.

I have a scenario where I would like to place an ISA machine at a bunch of remote sites, where it will be used by Staff as well as Students.

Student access is currently provided through a proxy run by the ISP whilst staff access through another ISA cluster in head office.

I would like the local ISA machine at the site to be chained to both of these proxies however i would like it to perform some 'logic' to direct students to the upstream ISP proxy and staff to the upstream ISA cluster.

However from what I can gather web chaining rules can only perform logic based on the destination address, not anything like group memebership or source IP.

Does anyone know of a way I could achieve what i'm after??

1. Why? That is probably the biggest question. Often the "why?" directly effects the "how?".

2. There is no way using ISA itself to do this.

3. I don't see why you would even want to. Everyone is already using a proxy now. It is going to slow things down, make things less efficient, make things more complicated, make it more difficult to troubleshoot (which proxy gets the blame?), and probably some other negative things I haven't thought of.
