Status: offline 		I have web publishing working fine for my website. My IIS and ISA are on the same box. I used webpublishing rules, and unfortunately my log only records 10.0.0.2 for web users. I need to do server publishing to get the external IPs. But can I do server publishing on the same server? What is the difference between web publishing and server publishing? Is web publishing more secure, or should I just do server publishing even though its on the same server if I want the correct IP address?

Web Publishing isn't more secure than server publishing, it just provides more features.

Status: offline 		Ok but can I do server publishing rules to publish a website on the same computer as ISA? How do I do this? What protocol do I select after I pick the internal/external IPs?

Did you review Tom's articles on Publishing a web site part 1 and 2.

I did have my ISA setup the same way as you had a couple of weeks ago, and these articles worked for me.

Once you have looked at them, i can try to help although i am no expert.

Ignore my post, i did not interpret your post correctly. I did not use the Server Publishing rule, i used web publshing.
