Hello all.

There seems to be a bug in the web publishing wizard.
when you want to publish a web server using web listner technology for some reason the protocol it uses is HTTP (80 outbound) insted of HTTP Server (80 Inbound) this prevent from publishing the server.
unless I don't understand the publishing machanism - his is a bug and I hope they fix it before the next BETA or RC (I'm using RC1).

Does anyone has a quick fix?

Hi PikaCho,

I don't think there was a bug in this, even in Beta 2.

It allowed HTTP from Anywhere to Internal.

HTH,
Tom

fist of all thanks for your reply...
Let me explain the scenario:
ISA server:
External IP 192.168.1.2 (DMZ before my router)
Internal IP 192.168.16.2 (Internal Network)

I run Web Publish wizard to publish IIS on internal card 192.168.16.2
The rule specify from anywhere to Internal protocol HTTP (80 Outbound) Finnish and it doesn't work.
It supposes to be simple but it doesn't work.
For this to work I need to add a second rule that opens HTTP Server (80 Inbound) to 192.168.16.2.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong... I would appreciate any help

Hi PikaCho,

That is correct -- the protocol is Outbound. The ISA 2004 firewall sees connections a bit differently than ISA 2000 firewalls, but the protocol is correct.

What errors do you see in your Event Viewer and Alerts tab in the ISA Management console?

Thanks!
Tom
