Hi All,

I am having problems publishing some ports that we require to use a with our Wildfire Server. The ports that I have published are 5222 and 5223 using TCP inbound. I am unable to connect from outside the network to the server that authenticates the clients using the above ports.

I have setup dns records which are active on the internet and resolve to the correct server address and I am unsure why ISA drops the packets.

Our network setup has the ISA 2004 server sitting behind the corporate firewall and all rules allow access to the Wildfire Server from the corporate firewall. I want to use ISA 2004 server to control the times this service will be available to the users and hence the reason for using ISA 2004.

I have also have a publishing rule for VNC server to login remotely , and this is also unsuccessful .

We have our own C Class which uses public ip addresses for our servers and the ISA server 2004 is using one of the C Class addresses.

Any help would be muchly appreciated.

Can you outline your network topology better? is the corp firewall next to the ISA server or in front of it?

Router - Corp FW |- ISA - Wildfire
                 |
                 |- Clients
Or...

Router |- ISA  - Wildfire

       |
       |- Corp FW - Clients

Some obvious questions, but maybe something was overlooked...
Can your reach the Wildfire from ISA? what's the DG on the wildfire?
If you remove the ISA server from the picture does it work?
have you tried monitoring activity, what is ISA or denying?
