Hello all, I have recently completely configured an ISA Firewall 22006 and ran into an issue. With all the publishing rules I created, all worked but one. When the firwall was put in place, none of our websites could be accessed. We manage over 20 domains of sites. We dont really care to use any of the ISA filteringt options for web. We just more or less want a single external ip to foward to an internal ip. What settings must I put in place to get this configured? I dont want to need to add the appropriate domain everyime we host another domain, into the ISA server (nor does my boss). Thanks.

Hi Darry, What's the point of using the ISA Firewall? Sounds like you're trying to gut all the security out -- if you don't want a secure configuration, use a PIX or ASA. Tom

Your making the assumption that because we dont want to use a single part of the ISA that the whole ISA server is not of any use... There is lots of stuff we are using on the ISA Firewall that we cant do on lower end firewalls. Why is it you cant just give me an answer, we have plenty of reasons to use ISA Firewall, we just dont want to use the Web Publishing part.

In that case you can create Server Publishing Rules for the Web sites. Just make sure there is no socket contention with any Web listeners. HTH, Tom

Okay, so just publish the port using the Server Publishing... Good idea. Thanks a lot Tscinder--as soon as we are finished testing out the hardware thoroughly, we will be reimplementing the ISA Firewall with that change.
