Hello,

I have ran into a dilema after switching to ISA2004 from ISA2000. Here is a detailed description of the problem:

In ISA2000 you could have a Web Publishing rule that contained wildcards in the path like this example:
Rule 1 has the path /msadc/msadcs.dll/pathA*
Rule 2 has the path /msadc/msadcs.dll/pathB*
(note that there is no / before the asterix)

These two rules would work fine with ISA2000, the path is generated by an application that appends several variables after the * based on the method requested in msadcs.dll.

In ISA2004 however, it appears that it does not allow a wildcard in a path without a / before it, which is the root of my problem.

Is there any way possible around this problem, or am I at a loss with this "improvement" in ISA2004?

Hi Compguy,

Works the same way, you just need to include the /* with the new ISA firewall.

HTH,
Tom

Ok I will try it, though it does seem strange. Just to clarify a bit this is why it brought some confusion:

Rule 1 has the path /msadc/msadcs.dll/pathA*
Rule 2 has the path /msadc/msadcs.dll/pathB*

pathA can be almost anything, for example:

pathA.method1.method4045
or
pathA.method2.method400

same thing applies to pathB
