Greetings again,
I have an ISA 2004 server with several external ip addresses, and I'm trying to publish a web server that sits on the internal network. I go through the "publish a web server" wizard, create the custom listener on the correct ip/port, but it doesn't work. If i monitor the connection, the requests are being denied by the default rule.
If i look at the rule's protocol (HTTP) it is listed as Port 80 OUTBOUND. This is where i am confused. So I created a custom protocol "HTTP Server" with port 80 inbound, and publish the server with that (not using the web server wizard), and that works fine.
Why does publishing a web server use an OUTBOUND protocol?
(I also noticed that the rules created when publishing my FBA OWA uses HTTPS Outbound, but that works fine)
Thanks for your help.

Hi Kyle,
Crreate a Web Publishing Rule, not a server publishing rule, I think that's where your problem lies.

Thats where i started, and it didn't work.
I ended up creating an http server protocol and using the server publishing method instead.
