Hi, I am wondering if ISA 2004 has a feature that allows publishing Multiple websites. What I have is a single static IP and I want to be able to send subdomains to different servers, my ISP does general DNS hosting for me and point everything at my IP, I currently have a firebox to block most unwanted traffic at the point of entry what I am hoping is that an ISA server behind this can acomplish what I am looking to do which is as follows:
Internet user types: www.mysite.com - ISA knows to send to my www machine leaving host headers intact as I use these in IIS to host several sites.
Internet user types: http://mail.mysite.com - ISA send this request to a different web server for webmail application (currently MailEnable)
Internet user types: http://forums.mysite.com - ISA send this to a different server hosting forums.
and so on. I realize that I would have to open port 80 traffic in the DMZ and point this at the ISA server, but what I need to know if ISA can do what I have above after this is done.
Thanks!

Talex,
This should be easy to accomplish. As long as you're not publishing HTTPS pages you can publish a slew of sites directed to different servers on the same incoming IP address. The important thing to remember is that you're not going to open HTTP traffic to the DMZ....you want to publish the servers using web listeners. The publishing rules will listen for traffic coming in on a specific port of a specific IP address and will recognize them based on the host header. Based on which publishing rule recognizes the host header, the traffic will be directed to that rules destination.

HI, Thanks for the reply, my concern was the use of host headers... so to be for sure X amount of sites can be pointed at my ip and I can make a rule for each pointing to each appropriate server and ISA will be able to direct this traffic by host headers including sub domain names? Most will run on Port 80 so I just want to make sure that this is correct, I do not plan on using ISA as part of my domain at this time, just a stand alone installation to handle this task and subdomains, once I get more farmiliar with ISA (I just bought the book on ISA 2004) I want to use more of it's options, but for now just need an intelligent easy to use director for host headers -> server.
Thanks!

Hi again, Could you kindly suggest settings for this, I have my ISA Server STD Ed. installed on Win2k AS and before I mess anything up I am wondering if you could be kind enough to show a quick walk through.
Thanks so much!
