So – here’s the issue we are experiencing. In IE7, if I browse to a webserver and use a domain username and password, then all calls to a webservice on the same server will from that point on (in the instance of the browser that was authenticated) be completely malformed. The interesting thing is that this only fails in IE7 – IE6/Firefox/Safari/Opera all work correctly. This is the way I was testing the issue: 1) Open two separate instances of IE7 2) Browse to the server's webservice page in both browser instances. a. It doesn’t matter what webservice you hit(there are multiple ones) b. In both web browsers, enter anything and hit Invoke. c You get a proper web service response in the new browser. 3 ) Now let's create the error condition. Open a tab and browse to the website/webservice. Log in with a domain user account a) In the browser you just authenticated, click the webservice tab and hit invoke again. a. ERROR: What appears to be an Error 500, but if you turn off error beautification, it’s a System.InvalidOperationException. The parameter ‘contextKey’ was missing. b. In the browser you didn’t authenticate in, click the webservice and hit invoke. The call works fine. SO, here's basically what I can tell is going on...... After looking at packet data with a packet sniffer, I can see that when IE7 is used with Domain authentication through ISA2006 that the webservice does not get passed the authentication parameters or the parameters that the webservice expects. In all other browsers I can see the authentication and webservice parameters passing through just fine. If I do the same process over the internal network directly to the server (ie bypassing ISA2006) then IT WORKS FINE in IE7. So ISA Server is somehow involved in this problem. Any ideas why IE7 doesn't work? This seems like an ISA thing but the other browsers all work..... what is happening?!? Thanks Jeff

When you say all other browsers work, are you implying that you are using IE 6.0 on other workstations? IE 6.0 has windows integrated enabled by default; but in IE 7.0 its disabled, you may want to check that for starters and try again. HIH Yorgy
