Hey guys..My boss and I are stuck on this. We have set up an ISA server in a test environment off of our DMZ. We have an FTP server and a web server behind the ISA. Now in regards to the web server I have followed the instructions on publishing a web site behind the ISA from http://www.isaserver.org/pages/article_p.asp?id=234

I can access the website internally but when I go outside of the router and try to access x.x.8.40 (external interface) I get a "Reply from x.x.8.36: destination host unreachable". Same for FTP. I have set up an ftp server as well and can access it internall but externally I can't even ping the external interface.

Is my problem a router issue or am I doing something wrong on the ISA? Please help. Thanks.

Gary

Well, I just created a Web Publishing rule that was applied to the destination set that I created with a destination of 10.10.0.1 (my web server) and redirected the requests to that ip and that was it. I also made sure under Incoming Web REquests that the listeners were cinfigured to that IP of 10.10.0.1.

I messed around with it some more and I was finally able to ping the external interface and at least attempt to access the site. Now I'm getting a forbidden screen sent by the ISA. Any suggestions?

Hi Weekapaug,

Make sure you use FQDNs and *not* IP addresses in your Destination Sets. You'll be glad you did [Big Grin]

I did use the FQDN in the destination set for the web site. My FQDN is testdc.testlab.local. The DC is the DC, DNS, Web server (for testing purposes of course). I am still getting refused when I try to hit the web page http://seeatee.servebeer.com
