Hi, i'm work at university...

first i'm sorry because my english is not very good.

our server has been migrate from isa server 2000 to isa server 2006 EE

we have everything in here still under development, but eveything with web proxy is done until one day, a client call and tell that her email can't be opened. So i check with my friends, and we see that ISA generate an error page look like this :

Error Code: 502 Proxy Error. The Uniform Resource Locator (URL) is invalid. The request was not entered correctly. Enter the correct URL and try again. (12005)

so i double check in ISA Server logging and i have report like this :

Proxy http://my.centrin.net.id/cgi-bin/centrinwebmail my.pl bdg.centrin.net.id

after that i compare to squid proxy, when i browse with squid proxy everything is going smoothly. My question, i know isa didn't block the websites but why it's still error? but when i opened all port it goes without error. I need help to help me to understand this thing....and thanx before.

Same error here when trying to access PDFs of MSDS sheets for cleaning products at this site:
http://msds.johnsondiversey.com/viewer/wvConsumerBrand.asp?A=List

Surfing to PDFs at this site through a non-protected connection outside our organization is successful though.

This is on ISA 2004 SP2, BTW.

yeah i wonder why this error occured...

to solve this problem i must create new rule allowing http port to specified website

but that is not the real answer to the problem

I also have a user who is unable to use the link from this page:

to this page:

They always get an error:
Error Code: 502 Proxy Error. The Uniform Resource Locator (URL) is invalid. The request was not entered correctly. Enter the correct URL and try again. (12005)
This appears to be due to the use of the %u2013 in the url,
I'm not sure if this%u is unsupported by the RFC for http and urls? and this
is why it is blocked by microsoft ISA proxy server?

I have ISA2004 and experience problems with that exact site.

When I choose to see a PDF file while browing through the ISA(web proxy) it doesn't work, but if I try without proxy turned on it works fine.

I get the error:

Error Code: 502 Proxy Error. The Uniform Resource Locator (URL) is invalid. The request was not entered correctly. Enter the correct URL and try again. (12005)

Did anyone find a solution to this?

for ISA Server 2006, install Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server 2006 Supportability Update package : http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=939455

For ISA Server 204, install SP3 : http://www.microsoft.com/technet/downloads/isa/2004/servicepacks/default.mspx

Hi Tarek,

Thanks for replying.

I do have SP3 on my ISA2004, and I still have problems with:

http://msds.johnsondiversey.com

It's when I try to open the pdf files I get the error, and I do not get it when I surf without the proxy. For now I just live with a rule that allows the site, but I would like an official fix better :)
