Hi everybody!

I just installed ISA 2004 (my new external firewall) and I did set up rules granting the outbound access for my clients (behind another ISA, but 2000), all ok.

I've got to publish also a web server (hosted in my DMZ) with several web sites but here come the troubles: in fact, I cannot reach my sites from any external client.

I created a listener (with no authentication required) for the external network on the tcp port 80 and also the following rule:

Action: Allow
From: External
To: the ip of my webserver (send the original Host Header)

Traffic: HTTP
Public Name: the list of my sites... www.mysite.com, www.mysite2.com, etc...

Paths: Ext -> Same as INT; INT: /*

Bridging: http --> http

The OWA and mail services too are unavailable.
What's wrong with my configuration?

If I turn on my "old" external ISA 2000 (with the same network cards configuration), all seems to be ok and I can reach the sites again.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Fede,

Check out the ISA 2004 Deployement Kits docs over at www.msfirewall.org/isa2004kits.htm

They have all the information required to publish OWA sites.

HTH,
Tom

Hi Tom, thanks. The main problem is about the web sites. The OWA gives me an 403 error however.

I was looking at the http properties in the web publishing rule: the direction of the traffic is outbound? Is this wrong, isn't it?

I read another post about this bug (it's true?) of the web publishing wizard. How can I fix it?

Hi Fede,

There is no bug in the Web publishing wizard. The protocol def is correct.

Check out some of the articles on this site regarding Web publishing, and of course, the ISA 2004 Exchange Kit.

HTH,
Tom
