Hi!

I encounted a problem during the ISA Servere 2006 Std. installation. We have an "Reddot" Server (http://www.reddot.com) in our DMZ. We us it as a bug tracking system for our customers. So when i publish the server to the internet as an webublishing rule, i get an error message:

Error Code: 502 Proxy Error. The HTTP message includes an unsupported header or an unsupported combination of headers. (12156)

My research have found this problem occurs, when the website isn't RFC2616 compliance in the http headers. So my ISA installation blocks this website with the error. The webpublishing rule is working, because there ist a redirection (www.test.com -> www.test.com/cms) before the error is encounted.

Because this tracking system is essential for our bussines, we switched back to our old sidewinder firewall.
I can't believe, that the ISA Server can't handle this. When it is a problem with the webproxy filter, which enforces rfc compliance, how can i get bypass it, without degrading other standard rules (internet access, mailserver publishing, etc.)?
The ISA Server installation is in installation standard (SP1), http header compression was diasabled.

I would be glad to read your suggestions, so that i can get the ISA Server implemented in my company.

Your sincerely

Gregor

Not to exclude other ideas, maybe there's an easier way ... but it could certianly be done with a custom coded web filter.

If you have no other alternatives PM me to discuss.
