Hi all!

Have struggled with this problem this evening and want a solution fast. HavenŠt been working with the ISA server for a while so I have lost my touch.

I could read all about it in the book "ISA Server and Beyond" and I recommend all people needing help in this forum to buy it!

My problem:
I want to share my FileMaker Pro databases with HTML and Web publishing. (I know SQL and everything else is better) ;-)

I have FileMaker Pro installed on the same computer as ISA and IIS. My only option
is to share FileMkr to localhost and a port I can choose (83). So when I enter "http://server:83" or "http://localhost:83" in explorer then ItŠs working and I am connected to the site.

I have DNS fixed, web publishing, Outlook Web access, FTP, WebDAV and everything else already shared on the Server.

So I have applied the new path "/fm*" to the already working Destination Set and the destination set is already existing in the Web publishing Rule.

I have also created a folder under Default Web Site called "fm".

If I configure it to "A redirection to a URL" then it doesnŠt work but if I instead choose the "A directory located on this computer" (and changes it to reach a file named default.htm) then it works.

I think it is the "Send the original host header to the publishing server instead..." in the Web Publishing Rules properties. Somehow the "A redirection to a URL" doesnŠt work.

I need to redirect all requests like "https://server/fm" to the adress "http://Server:83" or "http://localhost:83". The PKI and SSL is working with no problem (except with this).

How should I do this with best practice?
Do I need to create a new Web Publishing Rule? Or do I need to create a new Default Web Site?

I would appreciate your help very much!

Keep up the good work! :-)

Solved everything by reading the book!

...Except for one thing...

Redirection to a URL

In the Default Web site / File properties / Virtual Directory:
Is it possible to "Redirection to a URL" with a special port number?
Example : "http://Server:83" in the "A redirection to a URL" field?

If I configure it to "A redirection to a URL" then it doesnŠt work but if I instead choose the "A directory located on this computer" (and changes it to reach a file named default.htm) then it works.

The problem is that the FileMaker Pro doesnŠt cooperate with IIS and publishes the adress by itself (on a port that I can choose).

The Web publishing rule bridges the request to another port of my choice and in this case to FileMaker then it works.

This means I cannot publish the site with SSL and have to terminate the SSL after the proxy.

How should I do this with best practice?
