We are using 2 IIS machines in Network Loadbalancing mode in our production environment. Since we hold the client state in memory on the webserver we have to use single affinity in the IP load balancing setting.

We published our website using Webserver publishing rules. The problem is, that all request now go to only one machine, because the IP lodbalancing stack think all requests come from the same machine (ISA-Server reverse proxy).

Has anybody a solution to send the original client-IP-adress throu the ISA-Server Webpublishing filter to the IIS machine.

We would not like to use Server Publishing instead, because the webpublishing filter was the security reason to upgrade our Linux IP-tables firewall to ISA Server.

thanks for your help

paul

Hi Paul,

Try ISA 2004 firewalls. You'll be able to use Web Publishing Rule and pass the original client IP address to the Web site.

HTH,
Tom
