The company I work for been hosting websites for some time now, but only recently did they finance a firewall server (ISA).
One of the nice services which we like to offer to our clients is a full report from WebTrends software. These reports provides information on site activity. Since I have put up the ISA server, all of the reports that are run on the websites imply that there is only one visitor, and that visitor is my firewall machine. Basically, this means that all IP addresses which are hitting my webserver appear as an internal address.
Is there any way for me to setup ISA to carry these IP Addresses over so that my logs will store them correctly?? !["" "[Confused]"](/image/smiles/confused.gif) [ November 03, 2003, 05:10 PM: Message edited by: Mr. Fix It ]

Hey guys,
I used WebSpy to analyze the Web Proxy log and it works a treat. No reason to analyze the logs on the Web server itself.

The program Webtrends uses all of the IIS logs and compiles a web-based report for our clients. By analyzing the logs on the Web server itself, I can gain information regarding demographic locations, specific folders accessed, which users successfully authenticated and to what pages they visited, etc. What features does webspy have?
I have applied the registry entry which was meantioned. I'll watch the logs and we'll see if it has the desired effect. thanks

I went ahead and applied the registry fix as that article referenced, but it didn't seem to work. The only IP Addresses that show up in my logs are internal. Anyone else have an idea as to how I would carry over these external IP's accross ISA and into my internal web server??

Hi MFI,
If you need the source IP address to appear at the Web site, you'll need to use Server Publishing Rules. Web Publishing Rule will never forward the source IP address.

I accidentally started a new post with my reply to this.
When changing my web publishing information over to my server publishing information, I will not only loose some of the security built into ISA but I will also loose the ability to use my destination sets, right? I'm afraid I can't do that if that is the case. Are there any other methods, scripts, or hacks that I could look into?
