Hello All!
Any thoughts on why the performance of a published website going through our ISA server would be dog slow?

The website resides on a server behind the ISA server. We have other websites that are published the same way, on different servers that run great! The one we are having problems with runs our Intranet, yet when you view it from inside, it screams.

Appreciate any feedback or ideas.

I was about to post a similar message when I ready this one. I publish several web and ftp sites through ISA Server 2000, which all work fine from inside and outside. However, my specific issue is with Outlook Web Access. It works flawlessly internally, but coming from an external network, it's so slow it almost appears to hang in the client browser, but still loads completely if given enough time. Perhaps these issues are related?

Hey guys,

Slow performance often comes down to name resolution issues. Try this: in your Web Publishing Rules, use the FQDN of the site in the Rule instead of an IP address for the redirection. Then, add an entry for that FQDN in a HOSTS file on the ISA Server that has the *internal* IP address for that FQDN. Make sure that FQDN is the same as the one used by the external user.

HTH,
Tom
