Hi,

I'm seeing these weird events in the event viewer:

ID: 21174, Source: Microsoft Firewall

Error in server publishing rule [RuleName] because there's no valid network listener...

This error is logged for every server publishing rule I defined, and then, after a minute or so, the same number of events are recorded, but this time:

ID: 14161, Source: Microsoft Firewall

The server publishing rule [RULENAME] that assigns IP:PORT TCP to IP:PORT for the protocol [PROTOCOLNAME] was applied correctly. Previously this rule wasn't possible to apply, but this time it was completed correctly.

What could be the initial problem that is automatically resolved?

Hi Ivan,

Is the IP address(es) changing on the external interface of the ISA firewall, or is the power going on on the switch to which the external interface of the ISA firewall is connected?

Thanks!
Tom

No, it's not changing, AFAIK. It uses DHCP, because when I tried with a static IP, the front firewall didn't want to talk to ISA, so I leaved it with DHCP, but the router (front firewall) always assigns it the same IP address: 192.168.1.100

Thanks!
