I keep getting denined connection messages for the following.

I'm not sure what it's telling me. Is it that a DNS request has been sent to a server and the return has connection has been denined or what?

Source Network : Internal
Client IP: Internal
Destination Host IP: 192.168.1.2
Destination Port: 53
Protocol : DNS
Action: Denined Connection

Hi Bruce,

That's kind of odd, because the firewall should not be mediating internal to internal connections. That is to say, it shouldn't see them at all!

I think there might be a config snafu somewhere on the firewall.

Hi Bruce ,

since 192.168.x.x is going thru your firewall , it prolly means that your internal lan is on either 10.x.x.x or 172.16.x.x , right ?

This means 192.168.x.x is on your external IP subnet ? Have you made a firewall rule to allow DNS trafic ( port 53 TPC ) to allow from Internal network to External ?
