Hi Guys,

I have a problem that I have never seen in my 4 years working with ISA. Here is the situation ...

* A server as a Secure NAT client behind an ISA2006 FW
* Server has 1 Nic IP config as follows

192.168.x.242 / 24
Gateway = 192.168.x.8

*ISA Server Internal NIC has lots of IP addresses, address for this client is ;

192.168.x.8 / 24 and no default gateway

I have an Allow All Outbound Traffic access rule from the Server IP (192.168.x.242) to External

Whenever I start attempt to browse to any website from the protected server I never get anything and when I check the ISA logs there are always several entries as follows ;

1st showing ERROR_SUCCESS
2nd showing 0x80072741 WSAEADDRNOTAVAIL

Has anyone any idea what this error means??

FYI all other traffic using other protocols seems fine. WEIRD!!!!

PLease HELP!!!!!

Tim

Hi Rarek,

>> is this a single NIC ISA ?

No it isn't,  there is a second NIC for the external interface.

Tarek, thanks for your reply. Can you just clarify something though.

Are you suggesting I make the registry change on tghe ISA server or the protected server?

Another bit of info which is relevant which I should have mentioned earlier ;

Although server 192.168.x.242 cannot get web access ,

another server (server b) 192.168.y.30 ie in a different subnet but connected to the same NIC on the ISA server can browse websites without any problem.

Server B's Nic is configured as follows ;

192.168.y.30/24 with gateway 192.168.y.254

The gateway address 192.168.y.254 is also bound to the internal NIC on my ISA

Thanks
Tim
