Okay I have read and tried all articles with no luck?

Desire is not loading ISA firewall client everywhere and have users able to access hotmail web site?

Things that I have tried from articles outlined on this site for example:

Tried adding all these sites to Web Proxy direct access:
*.passport.net
*.passport.com
*.hotmail.com
*.msn.com

Did not help

Tried to allow non-authentication rule (all users) using HTTP and HTTPS to Hotmail Domain set (same is outlined above)...but still get error code 64: host not availabe after awhile when the browser finally times out.

Furthermore I have monitored the session and see that it is anomously accessing this rule but also logs a "Failed Connection Attempt" SSL-Tunnel port 443 to the url "loginnet.passport.com:443" eventhough I have HTTPS configured on this rule and "*.passport.com". Whats ups? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Doug,

Firewall client should ALWAYS be installed on client systems. That is an ISA firewall best practice which I rarely, if ever, deviate.

However, the Firewall client is not an issue with this problem.

Make sure the Web proxy clients are configured to use the autoconfiguration script so that the Direct Access settings work.

HTH,
Tom
