To define a SNAT client, you must define the default gateway to point to the internal ISA server interface. To define a firewall client, you must install the firewall client software. But let's assume that your PC has both the software client installed, and the default gateway to the ISA server. Is it a firewall client or a SNAT client? What is the best practice to ensure that your PC is only a firewall client ?

Hi Nbb, All TCP and UDP requests will be mediated by the Fireall client. Only if non-TCP/UDP requests are made will the SecureNAT configuration be used (ICMP, GRE, etc). HTH, Tom ------------------ http://www.isaserver.org/shinder/ Get It Here!

A very neat answer, as usual. Thanks.
