Hi,
I've been reading the books and help files but i still haven't sussed it out yet.

If i want to make a web page accessible from the server on internal only at the moment (and probably over VPN later), where do i put the files ?

I used to put them in c:\inetpub\wwwroot on the IIS and i used to tell the iis where the files were.

How do i do this with isa ?

It's the Root directory that i'm looking for configuring i think ?

I notice the web publishing bit used the format /mydata/myform.asp. I'm okay with that, i need to know where to put /mydata/, yes ?

I hope somebody understands what i mean.

Thanx

These settings in ISA assume you will be pointing ISA to the machine that is hosting these files. So, you'd either place these files on a separate web host, and then use web publishing to point a destination set containing the URL of your website to the internal IP of the machine hosting the website, or, you can try installing IIS on the same server as ISA, but becareful to bind IIS to either a different port, or on a separate IP address. then all you would need to do is create packet filters that allow TCP/80 (or whatever port you bind to) on the IP address you choose.

Thomas Shinder has a good series on publishing websites from behind ISA Publishing Websites Part 1

That's okay Mike, i'll go with you on re-installing iis.

I took it off some time ago because of a security issue which i didn't understand at the time but do now.

And thanx for Thomas' link.
