I need to know where ISA 2004 stores its configuration information. I have compliance software that I use to ensure that the config of the server never drifts from its gold hardened image. But I also need to run compliance on the directory or attribute that stores the firewall access policies to ensure change management of these firewalls for SOX compliance.

Thanks, and let me know if you have any questions.

Try exporting to XML and compare them.

For standard edition, check the registry at: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Fpc\Storage\Array-Root\Arrays

For Enterprise Edition the config is stored in ADAM, but written to the registry on each ISA node.

Why would I want to do a manual process to export th XML and compare it when I have a solution where I can point to the config files and have the solution run compliance for me.

In a 1500+ server enviroment, I really dont have the time to manualy export and compare. Plus for SOX mandates, I need to have a history of what has changed on that system and ensure proper access to these systems.

Standard windows tools just dont cut it.
