Whats the current best practice advice for DNS and ISA? As per the ISA 2004 Standard Edition Quick Start guide, I have always installed a DNS server on the ISA server, with forwarders to ISP DNS and Stub Zones to Internal Active Directory DNS servers. I am about to install ISA 2006 Enterprise Edition with 2 Node Array using NLB, is this DNS configuration still good? Not run it for a while, but I think the ISA Best Practice Analysiser frowns on DNS installed on ISA, but I don't want to host DNS in the DMZ as it will mean yet another server. Thanks, Paul

Hi Paul, Best practice is to put DNS resolvers on the internal network, who forward to corporate DNS resolvers on an anonymous access DMZ. Put DNS advertisers on an anonymous access DMZ. HTH, Tom
