I've been using ISA Server 2004 for about a year now, and ever since then I've been applying SP3 whenever I rebuild my server. But I've noticed that there have been no updates for ISA Server 2004 since SP3 was released.

What does this mean? Is ISA Server 2004 with SP3 applied the most secure firewall and IDS?

Thanks.

Maybe it's Microsoft's way of telling you to upgrade to ISA 2006?

 How cynical!

Maybe there is just not that much to correct with that code version

Also, are you not aware of ISA cumulative hotfix packages like this?

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/951958/en-us

This is probably the best way to get the very latest "code".

Cheers

Well, Microsoft is not even playing a fair game at "the upgrade to the next version - ISA Server 2006" which is a charade, since I got my ISA Server 2004 with Windows Small Business Server 2003 Premium Ed. and the new version of SBS, which is SBS 2008, does not come with ISA Server.

Microsoft couldn't fit ISA Server 2006 into SBS 2008 since ISA Server 2006 is a 32-bit product.

Ideally, ISA Server 2006 should've been a 64-bit product.

Well, KB951958 is certainly some helpful hotfix.

I was looking for fixes to ISA Server 2004 that stops attacks that can bypass its IDS, since I'm getting hacked.
