Hi, This is getting worse. I just posted a message about POP. This could be related. I can FTP and Telnet to our site when no FTP or Telnet publishing rules exist. When I do publish a rule that is to be forwarded to another server, ISA answers the response and uses its own Telnet and FTP services. I am beginning to think that the POP problem I had was because the ISA server is trying to answer the response and no POP server exists. That might account for the 127.0.0.1 in the log. (See previous post.) I am using a Dialup link, with ISA using SP2 TIA Nathan Simpson

Hi Nathan, Same deal here. Do these things from an external client, and not an internal client. Also, make sure the interfaces on the ISA Server are configured correctly. There's not much you can do with the external interface because IPCP will assign the appropriate information, but make sure the internal interface is configured correct. Check out Jim Harrison's article in the Learning Zone for more information on this. HTH, Tom ------------------ Tom Shinder http://www.isaserver.org/shinder/ Get It Here
