Hi,

i have ISA server installed and working properly since a month ago.

Yesterday i published a web server on another machine behind the ISA machine, and
now Event viewer shows this message, sometimes (i.e. 5 times in 3 hours) :

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Microsoft Web Proxy
Event Category: None
Event ID: 14120
Date: 10/25/2001
Time: 8:56:52 AM
User: N/A
Computer: FIREWALLMACHINE
Description:
The ISA Server services cannot create a packet filter 212.216.234.181. This event occurs when there is a conflict between the Local Address Table (LAT) configuration and the Windows 2000 routing table. Check the routing table and the LAT to find the source of the conflict.
Data:
0000: 52 07 44 f2 A..+

LAT and routing address table seems ok.
Plus, i've never got this message before to
publish the web server.

Why that message does appear ?

Danny

Hi Danny,

The message is harmless. The only problem is that it will fill your Event Log if you have a very busy Web Site. The key is to create a DNS server configuration that includes a public and a private DNS server and separate zones with the same domain name. One for private and one for public.

HTH,
Tom

Hi Tom,

i followed your advices and yes,
now internal clients resolve an host
that point to the internal IP address
to surf my published site, so that message
doesn't appears anymore.

Thank You a lot

Danny
