I am publishing OMA using a wildcard certificate. I use the same listener for OWA and a web site and they work fine. But when I attempt to access OMA from the IPAQ I get the certificate prompt saying the name on the cert doesn't match the site name. If I replace the cert with one named oma.company.com then it works correctly. I want to publish multiple sites with this one listener, and while it isn't the end of the world if the User has to hit OK, it confuses some people. Anybody run into this?

What you are experiencing is the sad truth: Windows Mobile 2003 will not tolerate wildcard certificates. OMA gives you the option to ignore but ActiveSync wont. Its predecessor PPC2002 happily accepted wildcards.

There are other clients that wont accept wildcards too, such as earlier versions of IE and, err, ISA Server!
