Here is my setup. CISCO connected via ADSL. Ethernet of CISCO is 192.168.1.1/24. Internal LAN is setup on a 192.168.1.0/24 network being NATted via the CISCO. I guess my question is, can I install ISA behind the CISCO and change my internal network to 10.0.0.0/16 network and set my outside interface on the ISA box to the 192.168.1.0/24. Can you NAT on the router and then again on the ISA box?

Thx

You should check with the documentation you have for the Cisco router and see if it supports NAT. ISA won't have any issues with this configuration, although you could have fun if you plan on publishing any internal servers.

As Bruce says, it should work. That's the exact same setup I'm using, only mine's a LinkSys router not a Cisco.

In addition the dynamic ip publishers such as TZO happily handle it too.

Things to consider:- Don't forget to take the 192.168.x.x addresses out of the LAT. Any publishing filters have to be changed to the external nic address (not your public ip). Check the Cisco manual to see if it has a DMZ mode - in this mode all traffic is forwarded and to all intents the ISA seems directly connected (simplification).
