I just setup ISA 2004 on a Windows 2003 server. After I installed Win2K3 SP1 and ISA2K4 SP1, my MS firewall service started to have problem.

In the Monitoring->Services tab, the status is shown as 'runnning' but the service uptime shows a 'X???'.

Anyone face the same problem after patching SP1? Considering to reinstall Win2K3 and ISA2K4.

Suggestion?

Update...

I just reinstalled Win2K3 without SP1. Install ISA2K4 without SP1. The firewall service still shows an 'X???'

I work last week until i patch SP1. No hardware was changed. I just don't understand why the firewall service is having problem......

I had this problem too. I resolved it by changing the logged on account of the Firewall Service back to LocalSystem. There are postings elsewhere about this
