I have an Exchange 2000 server published via RPC (MAPI) ISA packet filter
(secure mail publishing)
An external Win2k/Outlook Client (using outlook98 or outlook2k) can
connect to this published Service ok. A Win95 Client running Outlook 2k(or
Outlook98) cant connect to the same service, when trying to check server
mailbox name it reports network connection problems are preventing
connection at this time etc.
The problem seems to be in the format of the initial MSRPC Bind packet
issued from the client, ISA accepts the Win2k packet and issues a MSRPC
reply but ignores (or doesn't pass on) the Win95 packet. The only
differences betweeen the 2 packets are the MSRPC Flags 1=3 on the win2k
packet and 1=0 on the win95 packet, and MSRPC call id , but i'm assuming
that to be irrellevant?
The Win95 Client can Ping the Netbios name of the Exchange server(resolved to ISA's external IP address) and nbtstat -c shows the cache to contain the correct IP address for the NETBIOS name, loaded by LMHOSTS #PRE entry.

Any help or clues would be appreciated.
