Hello,

I'm trying to use WinMX through ISA but to no avail. I've enabled the ports listed in WinMX (6699 & 6257 I think) but it still doesn't work. Can anyone shed any light on this?

Many thanks in advance

P.

winmx servers often do not use "standard" ports for winmx application, therefore you would be supposed to build a huge number of protocol rules to make it work reliably. if you use firewall clients and you don't have security concerns (even tho winmx itself IS a concern) you will want to allow users "all" on site and content rules and protocol rules.
another option would be to configure winmx to use a socks4 proxy and of course turning on socks4 filter on ISA. Also, you should configure WinMX's tcp input port and UDP accordingly
