HI guys!

We have a ISA server(SP1) on the Windows server 2003 and this server is also RRAS VPN server. The server has a public IP address. Only L2TP/IPSec vpn access is allowed. My windows XP(SP1 and NAT-T update) client is behind NAT (ADSL Router) and his private IP address. I succesfully connect with L2TP/IPSec. But, if I don`t anything on the VPN connection, the Win XP client automatically disconnect approximatelly one minute. Why ????

Thanks
Viktor

Hi Viktor,

if the L2TP/IPSec VPN client is behind a NAT device, you must configure ISA on W2K3 for L2TP/IPSec NAT-T support. For more info, check out http://www.isaserver.org/tutorials/natt2003.html .

HTH,
Stefaan
