Hi there,
I am working with ISA 2004 as a first time ISA server admin I am learning as I go or by reading articles. (Many very good ones here BTW)
Here is my setup, we just installed Windows Server 2003, with ISA 2004 (newest MSDN release) to a second WAN link.
I am using ISA as an EDGE firewall for this application.
The problem. We run a 2000 AD enviroment, and when setting up new policies, I am trying to authenticate against the AD groups that I have set up.
For example, I have a policy that allows users in the Firewall Admins group to Remote Desktop into the ISA server(only the LAN link). The Firewall admins are a security group on my domain that includes myself and another network admin.
I cannot remote desktop into the ISA server unless I cange the Users to the default "all users"
This is apparent in all policies I create? My rule to allow HTTP access, I wanted to change to Authenticated users or even DOMAIN\Domain users, but it doesnt work unless I have the "all users" condition set?
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Mike

Hi Mike,
That's correct. The reason is that you are trying to connect from a machine on the same Network as the ISA firewall, so the connection request bypasses the Firewall client software.
