VPN works flawlessly for my laptop clients but I am having problems with my Windows Mobile 6 Pro clients.

I can connect a WM6 client to my ISA Server 2006 via PPTP VPN with no problems. But when I try to use the file explorer on the mobile client to browse files on our internal file server it says I'm not authorized. And if I try a remote desktop connection it says that the server is unavailable or something like that.

I read somewhere on the Microsoft website that using certificates and L2TP should solve this problem but I can not connect at all using L2TP with CA and client certificates on the mobile client. I don't remember the exact error and I don't have a Smartphone available to try it right now. I will post that when I get a chance to try it again.

But with PPTP I can connect with VPN fine but I can't browse the servers or connect with RDP. I'm baffled and have a lot of pressure from the higher ups to get this working ASAP. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just did some logging on ISA server while I had one of my windows mobile clients hooked up to the VPN. Everything seems fine in the logs and no traffic is being denied by ISA server.

This is driving me crazy!

Does anyone have any ideas what the problem might be?

Is anyone connecting via VPN through ISA 2006 with a WM6 smartphone and have it working properly?
