Status: offline 		We are about to upgrade to Exchange 2003 SP2 and supply our Doctors with windows mobile phones.  We will not be using OWA....since we have a Citrix farm, Secure Gateway/Web Interface setup for our apps. 

Is an ISA server necessary to protect the windows mobile/activesync traffic? If so,  Is there a less expensive/less robust alternative?

Status: online 		I wouldn't deploy it without an ISA Firewall. But it is possible, just less secure.
