Hi,

I would be grateful if some one help me on how to solve my winodws update (http://v5.windowsupdate.microsfot.com/) error (Error number: 0x80072EE2) while using firewall client with ISA Server 2004 in Windows XP clients. Thanks in advance. Please note that we are using Windows server 2003 & ISA Server 2004 and clients with Win2K and WinXP. For your information, Win2K clients and Win2K3 Servers can update their winodows without any problem. Thanks

Microsoft keep changing the URL for the Windows Update site. It's different depending on the versions of the BITS client installed on the PC.

If your blocking sites by URL address this may be your problem.

The default system policy in ISA Server 2004 automatically includes some URLs for the Update site but not the most recent ones.
