Has anyone experienced difficulty with Windows XP Professional clients using Secure NAT? In particular, receiving an error code 12002 "Access is denied to the specified URL". This is a SBS 2000 network and the client was successfully running Secure NAT on Windows ME before an XP upgrade, so there are not any new Site & Content Filters blocking access. Any ideas?

Hi CR,

Do you have any access controls that require user/group authentication? That will block SecureNAT clients.

Tom

Thanks for the response Tom. The HTTP redirector is configured to allow SecureNAT clients and this particular user was running fine under Windows ME and SecureNAT. Now with XP Pro, I think for some reason his domain usercode/password are not being passed when requesting http access. I checked the logs and his usercode shows up as a blank and only his IP is being logged.

Hi Chris,

Is the user logging into the domain?

Thanks!

Hi Chris,

Wait a minute! [Big Grin] It doesn't matter if the user is logging into the domain, because SecureNAT client can't send credentials to the ISA Server, so you're never going to see user names in the log!

Tom
