An ISA server without Resource Allocation Failure ... thats smart enough to bind the socket on Port 80 for both public and private IP addresses.

We have that now in both ISA 2004 and 2006.

Thomas Shinder is replying my message in person, this can't be happening :), am an admirer..

so please let me go to my point, my ISA server keeps on giving this issue, I disabled media sensing in the registry, disabled socket pooling in IIS, but then removed IIS from the isa server computer, changed the auto discovery publishing information... nothing is workin, it just keeps on giving it: failed to bind the socket on the public IP address and the website is no longer published till i restart the firewall service... then I automated the firewall restart process but its not really practical to keep on restarting the firewall service, users lose their internet connectivity and it happens twice a day at least.

Is the ISA Firewall using DHCP on its external interface?

No it's not, its a single adapter that's connected to a switch and a modem connected to the same switch, however internet connectivity is by using a PPPoE dial connection.

It could be a single NIC "hork mode" problem.

Try fully deploying the ISA Firewall with at least two NICs so that it can do what it was designed to do -- be an enterprise level network firewall.
