Hi, sorry if this has been addressed before, I looked a little and didn't see anything exactly the same...
My problem:
I have network (1) [W2k ISA Firewall providing VPN with RRAS].
I can access network (1) just fine via PPTP VPN from network (2) [W2k server connecting via DSL from behind a Watchguard SOHO].
I cannot VPN PPTP to network (1) from network (3) [XP, no firewall, cable modem] BUT I can PPTP to network (2).
I can also dial in successfully and creat a VPN PPTP tunnel from a W2k Pro laptop to network (1).
Basically, all of my W2k Pro connections PPTP to the ISA/RRAS server succesfully, so far none of my XP attempts succeed (multiple XP machines attempted - all via various cable bandwidth providers) - This is leading me to believe that it is a problem with the way the RRAS on the ISA box is handling XP or the various cable providers are blocking ports (will try XP on dialup tonight)??? Sound plausable? Any help is much appreciated.

As I dig a little deeper, I see a post on another question from tshinder stating, "Are you referring to not accepting responses from addresses that it didn't send the original request to?" in regards to XP VPN. Is this the problem and does anyone know how to confirm/fix?+

looks like that was it you have to have the vpn address bound as the primary or first address for the vpn to work with xp and 98 or it returns from a different address that the request is sent to and is rejected
