Hi Techies,

I created the usual protocol rule for internet access and in the applies to tab it *Any Request*.

But when I set it in User and Groups (which i get it in the active directory) the yahoo messenger can't connect. We are in a secureNat client.

What is causing the problem?

Thanks a lot!

On the LAT its define my local range of address.

Arth,

Yahoo messenger is not included in the list of protocols. You have to add a protcol definition for TCP 5050 to do this expan policy elements and right click on protocols and add the protocol definition. then the SNAT client will be able to use the new protcol.

Aslo it is impossible to authenticate users against protocol rules without the firewall client so make a cleint address set for the SNAT clients and bind access to the Client address set rather than users and groups

Hi Gregory,

Thanks for the info on the authentication! I made it.

With the Yahoo Messenger, the port is 5050 right?
What is the protocol type?
Direction?
Secondary connection? Yes or No

Do I have to configure the proxy settings on Yahoo Messenger?

Thanks,

arth
