I have not been able to get Yahoo messenger to work. Here is the setup.
1 External ISA2004 server
1 Internal ISA2000 server

I believe the problem is passing yahoo from the internal server to the external server. I can get it to work by bypassing the internal ISA server and only going theough the External ISA.

Any suggestions?

Hi J,

What access rules have you created on the front-end ISA firewall?

What acces rules have you created on the back-end ISA firewall?

What client types are you using behind the back-end ISA firewall?

What protocols are you trying to access?

Thanks!
Tom

tshinder,

Here are the rules I have on the the front end server.

Port

3389
23
5216
5050
5190
80
1863
449
8470
8471
8472
8474
8475
8476
53
21
6667
8383

The back end server is set to allow all.

The clients that are behind the backend server are all running XP with SP1.

I am trying to access TCP 5050

I am between the front and backend ISA servers and I can get yahoo to work. The users that go thought both ISA servers (Back and Front end) can not.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi J,

What happens when both ISA FIREWALLS are configured with an all open rule?

Also, have you configured Firewall chaining to chain the ISA FIREWALLS?

HTH,
Tom

If I set both to open I still can not get it to work for the computer behind the second(ISA 2000) ISA Server.

I have not configured firewall chaining.
