Hi all,

I setup an ISA 2004 server with web proxy client enabled. At the client pc isa firewall was installed, yahoo messenger connection was set to Firewall with no proxy server. The yahoo messenger manage to connect but after sometimes, it will become very unstable. The yahoo messenger will get disconnected. Whenever it is connected it will only last for a few minutes.
Any solutions for this?

Hi Clarance,

What access rules do you have in place to allow the required protocols?

What client type are you using?

Thanks!
Tom

Hi Tom,
The policy was set to only accept selected protocols. In the selected protocol, i added a custom outbound port 5050 for yahoo messenger.

The clients computers were installed with Windows 2000 Professional and Windows XP. At the same time, connection limit per client (TCP and Non-TCP) was set to 12.

Thank you.
