ISA 2004 set up as an edge firewall

I can rdp to the ISA server and to clients behind the ISA server from my 10.2.x network, but I can't rdp to the ISA server or any clients behind isa from 10.3.x network or any other network within the organization.  I can successfully ping servers from one network to the other.  I can rdp servers from one network to another...  just not on the other side of ISA.

monitor shows that the attempt does take place and that it initiates the connection on ISA.

any ideas?

Network config info.
I have 2 VLAN's on my network.  one vlan uses 192.x addresses (internal addresses) and one uses 10.2.x addresses.  the one with 10.2.x addresses is my LAN (external according to ISA) network.  the external network also consists of other LANs in the organization behind a number of different routers, etc..  one such network is 10.3.x.  another is 10.4.x etc...

Hi shoneytom,

it sounds you have a network within a network scenario. Check out the following articles for more information:
- http://isaserver.org/articles/2004isafirewallnetworks.html

I don't think my symptoms match the articles referenced.  first, I only have a single network that's internal to my ISA server it's 192.x/16.  second, I'm not logging any of the error messages that the article said I would.  the external network is predefined, so I don't get to input that information.

Hi shoneytom,

can you draw a little diagram to clarify your exact configuration?

Thanks,
Stefaan
